UNDEAD MONSTERS ROAM MOONWARD

Recent rumours that powerful undead monsters have been seen around the southern edge of the Great Forest have been confirmed by the Order of Shanna.
“Creatures know as Cold Lich Kings have been making their existence known in the forests,” announced the Crusader Maria. “One has been reported around the grove of Elfheart, and a second just north of King Slime's keep. Added to that a number of skeletal units have also been seen in this area.”
The Bugle has additionally heard of another such monster roaming the forest near the ruins of Meadowbrook, attacking travellers on the Great North Road.

By all accounts these monsters are dangerous and resistant to any normal weapons. Maria reports that the a priest who tried to confront the one near King Slime’s Keep was slain for his trouble.
The appearance of this new threat is likely to hamper still further any plans the Crown may have to rebuild Meadowbrook and persuade people to move back to the area.
