ESTATE TERROR ENDED

The citizens of the Thortun Estate in Homeward are celebrating the lifting of the evil curse which has been hanging their community.

The malevolent monster known as a Bimble that was haunting it, and which has been responsible for the deaths of many of the estate’s inhabitants, including two of its Barons, was finally destroyed by the intervention of one of the Druids of the Order of Shanna, who summoned a nature spirit to bring its unnatural reign of terror to an end.

However the recent encroachment of monsters into Bereny from the Kingdom’s borders and from its darkest and most monster-haunted recesses does not seem to be at an end, with the news that the Gladius Primus of the Dei Vigilare, Sir Vival of the Fittest, has been killed in a battle with a Cold Litch King to the northwest of the Mines of Miasma, around the edge of the Great Forest.

There are also renewed reports of demonically-possessed trees emerging from the depths of Bereny’s forests, and while these monsters have so far been kept in check by the efforts of adventurers and estate militias, the threat to anyone travelling in the Kingdom is clear.

The recent announcement by the Crown that this outbreak of monster activity may be the result of a weakening of the ‘Magical Weave’ separating Bereny from other Dimensions has lead many to conclude that such incursions may get worse before they get better, and despite the mobilisation of the Royal Army to protect the Kingdom’s borders, the uncertainty has already lead to a marked drop in trading activity across the Kingdom.
